The short version
bk8.fishing is a read-only guide site. There are no user accounts, no comment forms, no newsletter, and no payment processing, so we never ask for your name, email address, identity documents, or card details. The only data involved in reading this site is standard website analytics.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which guides people read. It collects aggregate, technical information: pages visited, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. It uses cookies to distinguish returning visits. We see this data only in aggregate; we cannot identify individual readers from it, and we do not try to. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with any standard content blocker, and the site works exactly the same.
Third-party sites
Links on this site lead to third parties, including the BK8 platform via referral links. Once you leave bk8.fishing, this policy no longer applies: any account you create, and any personal or payment data you provide, is collected by that operator under its own privacy policy. Read it before registering. We receive no personal data about you from operators; at most, referral reporting tells us that an anonymous signup occurred.
Data requests
Because we hold no personal data about readers, there is normally nothing for us to delete or export. If you believe this site has published something about you personally, see our contact page for how to reach us and we will review it.
